Pinnacles, puppets & pets

Mmm – well – actually, that should be in the singular (but it doesn’t sound as good)
The Pinnacle
(It looked better on top of the tower) Thankfully, nobody was walking underneath when it fell – shades of ‘Hot Fuzz’! (Film,2007)
The Puppet
The puppet is deliberately featureless – the idea being to add different eyes, nose, ears, beard etc. – although whether or not this will have the desired effect remains to be seen. It may continue to look like a toad muppet. Mmmm and it’s supposed to be biblical character… over to your imagination!
The Pet
Now, I feel sure I was going to use that basket for something……

About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset. I am enslaved by Sherpa-the-cat. Saturday mornings find me 'playing shop' in the Honey Pot - a second hand bookshop, run from my garage, where along with the books you'll find fun, friendship and refreshments - all in a good cause.

Pinnacle clearly was affected by time and weather, but did it just “give way,” or did y’all have high winds to bring it down? (Kind of scary thinking about it just falling…but the picture did remind me of something right out of an Agatha Christie or Dorothy Sayers novel…talk about a murder weapon!)

High winds working on the longer-term effects of water on a metal supporting spike, I suspect. Certainly, nobody was up there, shoving it over! Fortunately there were no dead bodies – unless a worm got crushed!
