Pics as promised

What you cannot see in these is the Thames RIB boat, the driving icy snow and the lowering clouds – neither can you feel the intense cold, the ice shards in the face or the unbelievably fantastic thrill of the speed – this last, because once out of the speed limited inner London, the boats went so fast that taking photos might have been suicidal!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr…. wow!

About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset. I am enslaved by Sherpa-the-cat. Saturday mornings find me 'playing shop' in the Honey Pot - a second hand bookshop, run from my garage, where along with the books you'll find fun, friendship and refreshments - all in a good cause.

Don’t think I’d care for the ice shards in the face, but the speed of the boat sounds like a lot of fun — maybe more fun on a warm day? 🙂

Perhaps ‘shards’ was a bit OTT – maybe little tiny dots would be nearer the mark! Several people have commented on my healthy complexion since I came home – so it obviously worked!

A river gives character to a city. London without the Thames would not be the same (nor Newcastle without the Tyne)
