About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset. I am enslaved by Sherpa-the-cat. Saturday mornings find me 'playing shop' in the Honey Pot - a second hand bookshop, run from my garage, where along with the books you'll find fun, friendship and refreshments - all in a good cause.

Happy Easter to you all! We are all together here in Somerset. A wonderful weekend celebrating the extremes of Easter – Good Friday’s pain, Holy Saturday’s uncertainty and Easter Sunday’s joy – and Easter eggs! Simon and Colin played piano & flute (respectively) for one of our services – during which the door jammed shut and we had to find a way out through the old tower door at the end of the service, whilst someone had a go at fixing the main door with a screwdriver! It all adds to life’s rich pattern! After a celebration lunch we drove down to the coast to walk on the beach in the sunshine (unusual here at the moment) and back home for a cream tea – which has turned into supper as we are running late and I only just baked the scones! Hope you are all finding time to relax and enjoy being family. Love and blessings Anne & co.
