Reading room?

The Canary Coloured Caravan (C3) project has reached the stage when I lazily surf the net to find images of caravan/shepherd’s hut interiors to give me ideas about how to move on into the final decoration phase. However, pressure of time, the weather, the test match and any other prevarication you could name have come between me and the final decoration and fitting out tasks. The ‘garden’ around the C3 is still a bit of a jungle – but eventually I’ll get around to sorting that out. (I still need to sort out the front entrance way where the drive has been altered and the weeds have moved in.)
So, what can be done with a neat little space which is crying out to be used?
Well, make it into a reading room – obvious!

About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset. I am enslaved by Sherpa-the-cat. Saturday mornings find me 'playing shop' in the Honey Pot - a second hand bookshop, run from my garage, where along with the books you'll find fun, friendship and refreshments - all in a good cause.

Something comfy to sit on, a lantern for the cloudy days, and a pot of tea…what else could you need in the new reading room? Love the picture. 🙂

I have taken your advice seriously – you may be able to see the ‘comfy’ place in the photo (v ‘Private Viewing’ 25.8.2011) but the lantern is just out of shot – and the teapot will have to go in there WITH me, whenever I go! Can I take a rug too? It’s getting a bit cooler over here!
