Caravan update 3b

Things went into overdrive yesterday – just before Honey Pot, Ian the chippy swung by to announce that this was ‘the day’. Colin was pressed into service to help cart bits of caravan through to the back garden (straining his back in the process – sorry Colin) and then we opened Honey Pot as usual, for a steady influx of people wishing to sit and chat over a coffee, buy books or fair trade food, and generally enjoy the sushine. Two people had recently emerged from hospital – one a new born baby and the other, a friend with a new hip joint. It was lovely to see them both!
Anyway, later in the day, when all the Honey-potters had gone, Ian came back and through the rest of the day a variety of people swung into action to help with the task. Here are a few choice pics.
Isn’t just wonderful? And wait until you see the proper door, the final paint job, the steps, the garden ….. I’m tired just thinking about it!

About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset - but have had to leave the countryside at a little distance, having moved into town.

What fun! I can’t wait to see the finished, painted product. Your Honey Pot days sound delightful to me.

I wish you could just pop over to join us there! You might even find a book or two! The caravan progresses – but pictures of me painting pieces of wood would be like … watching paint dry 🙂
