Dusting

A few minutes to spare this morning – ‘I know, I’ll dust the TBR pile of books next to the bed and see if I can reduce it.’
I found, to my dismay, more dust than I could have imagined possible and a pile of books that did not really want to be reduced.  I managed to take 6 off the pile – already finished – but the rest have been lovingly dusted and put back – so I will continue to sleep next to a source of asthma irritant.  Hey ho.  At least the rest of the room is neat, tidy and clean + I found a £1 coin lurking on the cupboard – so that has gone to join the other small change found on the bedroom floor, in the ‘holiday ice-cream fund jar’.  There’s only enough for one and a half ice-creams at the moment – so I’ll have to increase cleaning duties ahead of a holiday in Cornwall – the home of delicious ice-cream.
Here I go!

About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset. I am enslaved by Sherpa-the-cat. Saturday mornings find me 'playing shop' in the Honey Pot - a second hand bookshop, run from my garage, where along with the books you'll find fun, friendship and refreshments - all in a good cause.
