Snow joking

Ah, Britain is in crisis because it has snowed.  Those with short memories have forgotten that winter is the right time for snow – particularly in January and February. But then, we do live on an island, surrounded by very wet sea = very wet air, damp green countryside and rheumatism.  What more can we hope for?
However, the snow has been very useful this week – reducing the number of my commitments and enabling me to take a leisurely stroll around the village with my camera this morning.  Glorious!  The children were out enjoying their sledges and the odd snowball fight.  The combination of snow, sun and the sound of happy laughing children was exquisite. Joy. See the photo album above,

About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset. I am enslaved by Sherpa-the-cat. Saturday mornings find me 'playing shop' in the Honey Pot - a second hand bookshop, run from my garage, where along with the books you'll find fun, friendship and refreshments - all in a good cause.

Loved the tour of your village, thanks! It’s lovely. All the photos were great – happy that you did get out to capture all that and to share it.
