Now where was I?

Just when you got used to me not being at home, here I am popping up on the screen again. Apologies for the long silence – not a Big Sleep. just Events dear, Events.
Summer (shall we call it that – oh go on, let’s?) has whizzed by with dashing here and there to weddings and such like fun.  There was also a week spent just around the corner from the Houses of Parliament (OV was Duty Chaplain at Westminster Abbey and I had the pleasure of accompanying him and ‘doing’ the galleries) with Big Ben keeping us awake at night and every step along the pavement near the Abbey being a ‘dodge the tourist’ challlenge!
I’ll try to add a few photos tomorrow – as I am now needed to act as a third player in a game of scrabble (Stuck In A Book is with us this weekend).
If you think it is all fun fun fun here in the West, I’ll leave you with the thought that heavy rain kept us home today so we improved the shining hour by clearing out the attic.  Oh what virtue!

About apthomas

I love books, reading, writing, baking, chocolate, painting, sewing, people and fairtrade - not necessarily in that order. I am a lazy gardener - who loves the garden, and a lazy housewife who likes the place to be warm and welcoming. I live in beautiful Somerset. I am enslaved by Sherpa-the-cat. Saturday mornings find me 'playing shop' in the Honey Pot - a second hand bookshop, run from my garage, where along with the books you'll find fun, friendship and refreshments - all in a good cause.
